Overview
FAR.AI hosted the second annual Technical Innovations for AI Policy (TIAP) Conference from March 30-31, 2026 in Washington, DC. TIAP convened over 200 participants and build strong, direct relationships between policymakers and leading technical experts. Building on the success of the inaugural TIAP conference, the event aimed to translate cutting-edge technical research into actionable AI policy solutions that address both near-term challenges and longer-term strategic considerations.
Conference sessions explored pressing issues at the intersection of technology and policy, including federal-state preemption dynamics; child safety and self-harm risks from LLMs; export controls and supply chains; data center and chip security; hardware verification mechanisms; chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear (CBRN) risks and model safeguards; and artificial general intelligence preparedness and control.
