Tigist is a Member of Technical Staff at FAR.AI. He specializes in AI systems engineering. He is currently interested in fundamental research on trustworthy AI.

Previously, he has worked with several early-stage AI and robotics startups as an entrepreneur and a senior technical contributor. In particular, he was a member of the AI team at Flyreel, applying computer vision to mobile video to streamline the detection of risks and hazards for property insurance underwriting.

Tigist has a combined BSc/MSc in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from Northwestern University, as well as a Master's in Robotics from the University of Michigan.
