Vael was Head of Content at FAR.AI, where they led content programming for the organization’s events and coordinate with partners to develop specialized workshops. Previously, Vael founded Arkose, a nonprofit supporting machine learning researchers interested in AI safety. They completed their postdoctoral research at Stanford University and earned their PhD from UC Berkeley.
